Rather than another conference of speeches, the summit is designed around practical outcomes: matching projects with finance, connecting innovators with markets, and building partnerships between African institutions and counterparts across the Americas, Asia, Europe, the Middle East and Oceania. Our conviction is simple — the global green transition should be a driver of African prosperity, not a new barrier to it.

Africa's coastlines, highlands and escarpments hold wind resources that remain largely unharnessed. This track looks at resource mapping, grid integration, utility-scale and community wind models, and how global turbine makers, developers and financiers can partner with African utilities and local suppliers.
The East African Rift and its extensions offer clean, round-the-clock power that can complement weather-dependent renewables. Sessions explore exploration risk, drilling finance, direct-use applications such as agro-processing, and knowledge exchange with established geothermal nations.
From nano-structured thin films to flexible, lightweight panels, emerging solar technologies could cut costs and open new uses — rooftops, mini-grids, vehicles and portable devices. This theme connects research labs, manufacturers and African innovators on pilots, local assembly and technology transfer.
Restoring degraded land protects water catchments, soils and livelihoods while drawing down carbon. We focus on community-led restoration, native species, agroforestry, monitoring with satellites and drones, and long-term funding models that reward communities for stewardship.
Regenerative and biodiversity-friendly agriculture can raise yields and resilience while protecting pollinators, soils and wildlife corridors. Discussions cover conservation agriculture, crop diversity, market access for sustainably produced goods, and support for smallholders.
High-integrity carbon markets can channel finance to African projects — if they are transparent and fair. This track examines quality standards, benefit-sharing with communities, national frameworks, Article 6 cooperation and how project developers can reach global buyers with credibility.
Clean energy and sustainable farming scale fastest when people can pay, save and borrow. We explore mobile money, pay-as-you-go energy, green bonds, blended finance and insurance products that bring unbanked households and small businesses into the green economy.
When wind and solar produce more power than the grid can absorb, that surplus can be turned into green hydrogen through electrolysis and stored for later use — as fuel, as an industrial feedstock, or converted back to electricity. This track explores how hydrogen storage can firm up variable renewables, decarbonise mining and heavy industry, and position Africa as a partner in emerging global hydrogen value chains.
A young, connected, English-speaking workforce can serve clients anywhere in the world from Africa. This theme looks at building world-class remote teams in software development, website design, customer support and sales — and at the skills, connectivity, payment rails and trust that let African talent compete and lead in global digital markets.
Charcoal remains a key energy source for many households and businesses, but unsustainable production degrades forests. This track explores how charcoal can be made sustainably — from managed woodlots and certified sourcing to efficient kilns that use less wood — and how it can be put to better use: biochar for healthier soils, cleaner-burning cookstoves and briquettes, and industrial applications.
Africa's young people are its greatest asset. This theme focuses on equipping students and young professionals in Zambia and across the continent with skills that bring income into Africa — exporting services and products, working with international clients, and building businesses that earn in global markets while staying rooted at home.
Too often, minerals and agricultural produce leave Africa in raw form and the value is added elsewhere. This track looks at local processing and value addition — refining and beneficiating minerals, and processing, packaging and branding produce — so that more jobs, skills and revenue stay in the countries where resources originate.

Zambia has enjoyed 62 years of peace since independence, with no civil war or coup. English is the language of law and business, and the country borders eight nations — a natural, neutral meeting place for a pan-African summit.
About 80% of Zambia's electricity comes from hydropower, and recent droughts have exposed the risk of relying on a single source. The government targets 600 MW of solar and wind by 2030, while demand rises alongside copper output, targeted at 3 million tonnes a year by 2031.
The Viphya Mountains, the Muchinga Escarpment and Eastern, Central and Lusaka Provinces have good wind resources, yet utility-scale wind has barely started. Zambia also lies on the southwestern extension of the East African Rift, with more than 80 documented thermal springs pointing to baseload geothermal potential.
